Infants and Toddlers
Our infant and toddler program is designed to nurture children during this sensitive and
vitally important period of development. Caring and responsive teachers will provide the
stimulation that leads to optimal brain development and they will promptly meet each child's
needs on their own schedule.
As the children grow teachers will play with and encourage children to explore the environment and build their gross motor skills. Music, nursery rhymes, games, and stories will be part of daily routines to help children acquire language.
Childcare Program for Two-Year-Old Children
Our excellent staff lead the children through a structured program that encourages language
development and builds cognitive skills. We plan a variety of hands-on activities to help
your child learn colors, shapes, counting, animals, nursery rhymes and much more.
We are also actively working on teaching children social skills like sharing, taking turns, and using words to solve problems.
When your child is ready for potty-training, teachers will offer lots of positive reinforcement to help make this process fun.
Three to Five
As the children get older our focus includes more academics. Our structured program presents
concepts in fun ways that encourage a positive attitude toward learning.
We have partnered with Granite School District to provide the very best program to ensure kindergarten readiness. Each month the Essential Preschool Skills and the WE CAN! Curriculum direct our staff in teaching phonemic awareness, alphabet knowledge, oral language/comprehension, pre-writing, book awareness/print knowledge, math, social/emotional skills, gross motor skills, science and social studies.
Our private kindergarten is an accelerated all-day program that uses a first grade curriculum
to build on the skills taught in our pre-kindergarten program.
Our reading program includes the Modern Curriculum Press Phonics Book along with the Frontline Phonics Readers. Students also learn sight words and write in their journals daily. Teachers continue to read aloud to students and provide students time to read on their own each day.
We use the Saxon Math program which provides several ways to learn math throughout the day. Hands-on activities are combined with written practice to maximize learning. Math homework is sent home four nights a week.
Childcare for School-Age Children
We provide transportation to and from local elementary schools. All children receive breakfast
before school and a snack when they return. In the afternoon there are many activities for
children to choose from and
homework assistance is available.
We also provide summer camp and off-track programs. Children go on field-trips, do arts and crafts and explore fun themes.
Learning Tree Summer Camp has been carefully planned to offer your school-age child a variety
of activities and interests to explore. We use the Boston Children’s Museum’s Kids Afterschool
Curriculum to engage children in activities that promote creativity, innovation, critical thinking,
problem solving, communication and collaboration. This curriculum includes activities in Science,
Math, Literacy, Culture, Heath, Cooking, Engineering and Art. Working with our staff, parents
and the youth involved in our program, we have also added other challenging and fun experiences
such as, Water Games, Crafts, PE, Games and Sports.
We have 27 action packed and exciting field trips planned for this year! We will exercise our bodies at venues like Olympus Gymnastics, Jump Around Utah, The Front Climbing Gym and various parks. We are proud to be partnering with the Murray High School Soccer Team so our kids can grow in athletic skills. Our minds will be stretched as we participate in programs as Wheeler Farm, Mad Science and Scales and Tales. Good old-fashioned fun will be had at Cinemark Theater, Fat Cats Bowling, Water Slides at Learning Tree West, and Hollywood Connections.
